Composed of the Bonne Nouvelle, Mail, Vivienne and Gallion districts, the 2nd is in the center of Paris like the 1st, 3rd and 4th arrondissements. The 3 major activities of the 2nd arrondissement are finance, fashion and journalism. It is a district full of passages crossing the buildings but also of many galleries.

LE PALAIS BRONGNIART
The Palais Brongniart was inaugurated in 1926 under the regime of Napoleon Bonaparte as the home of stock market activity in Paris. Today it is used as a convention and event center.

LA RUE MONTORGUEIL
Main artery of the Montorgueil district, this pedestrian street brings together many greengrocers and food shops, as well as trendy boutiques. This street is known to have been painted by Claude Monet and mentioned by Victor Hugo in "Les Miserables".
